About Jody Williams

Jody Williams, LCSW, is a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working in the Las Vegas mental health community, Jody has developed a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and needs of individuals facing a variety of mental health issues. Her areas of interest and specialties include Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, OCD, Grief & Loss, Trauma, Chronic Pain and Adjustments to Life Transitions.

My Story

Therapeutic Approaches

Jody utilizes the biopsychosocial model of psychiatric disorders and applies evidence-based practices to help clients navigate their mental health journeys. She is skilled in various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

Clinical Supervision, Training and Consultation

​

In addition to her clinical practice, Jody is approved as a Clinical Supervisor for the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers. Over the past decade, she has guided and trained Clinical Social Work interns, and she has recently expanded her clinical supervision role to include interns approved by the State of Nevada Board of Marriage & Family & Clinical Professional Counselors seeking licensure.

Jody also provides consultation services to fully licensed mental health professionals for professional development, mentorship and guidance to achieve clinical and practice management goals.

Education and Approach to Care

​

Jody received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master of Social Work degree, aligning with an integrative approach to care. This approach includes a holistic, person-centered, evidence-based treatment focus with a personalized care plan and collaborative approach to treat the whole person and promote overall health and wellness and quality of life.
